  1. This is a good example of a broad generalization of obesity and how it impacts or generation. I wish you would have expanded on more of the causes and how to prevent it. I chose to research the question “what is obesity?” I found that obesity is an excess amount of body fat that can be measure by a BMI, body mass index, over 30. Along with obesity, there is morbid obesity where the person is 100 or more pounds over a normal weight. There are several contributing factors to obesity such as age, gender, genetics, environmental factors, physical activity or lack of, illness, medication, and some psychological factors. All of these factors are good to know when thinking about obesity and how it could affect you now or in the future.

  2. The question that I answered is “What can obesity do to you and how can it impact your life?” Obesity cannot affect you physically but mentally too. When people are obese they mostly deal with self-esteem, anxiety and depression, because of what they look like. The physical effects are difficulties breathing, walking or running, sweating, and skin conditions. It also impacts your life by making you change your diet, you have to do more physical activity, medication, or surgery like gastric banding or gastric bypass. By having this surgery, it not only allows you to lose weight, but will help u feel full when eating smaller amounts of food.

  3. All of your information is really interesting. It would be nice if you could expand on the steps toward obesity. Also, if you could explain how obesity can be fatal. It would give the readers some insight on what they should expect if they are obese. And it would give them insight on what its like to be obese and they don’t want to get there. I also think you should have more information on how obesity can lead to cancer. It is commonly linked to breast cancer for women and heart disease for men. Most of the time obesity can lead to Type 2 diabetes. That being said staying fit and healthy doesn’t mean you can’t get cancer it just minimizes the risk. This blog had very nice information but I think it could have been longer with an introduction and conclusion paragraph.

  4. You have lots of good information on what obesity is and how people may become obese. Additional information that would be useful to the readers would include some information on how people can avoid becoming obese and steps they can take to lose weight. You could include the fact that age, gender, environmental and psychological factors, as well as medication all have impacts on weight gain.
