  1. I love learning about this topic. In my blog, I talked about brain tumors in general, and I briefly talked about this tragic disease. In my research, I have found new ways to help cure brain tumors by using sounds and probes. I learned so many interesting things from this article. I learned how dangerous it is and what it is. I found this article talking about a couple ways to help prevent this cancer. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17302198

  2. This is an interesting article. Glioblastoma is indeed very dangerous but fortunately, according to my further research, does not metastasize outside of the brain. However, the bad news is that this type of brain cancer cannot be cured only by surgical removal. The standard treatment is that after the surgery, a patient still need to undergo a period of radiation therapy and take an oral chemotherapy called temolozomide over a 6-week period. Upon completion of radiation, 6-12 cycles of adjuvant temolozomide are given to the patient five days in a row every four weeks. Glioblastoma can be hereditary and radiation is one of the few known risk factors for this type of cancer. There are many researches being done today to look for a better cure for glioblastoma. Unfortunately, only a very few of them are ready to be distributed and most of them are not even mentioned to the public yet.
