Breast Cancer is the most common cancer found in women throughout the entire world. Maybe that’s why so many women fear this disease. Only about one in eight women have the chance of developing this life threatening cancer, but the ones who do have a very long journey in front of them. I have had the experience of watching two of my own family members battle this cancer and survive. Both of them had to undergoing long and extensive chemotherapy treatment to be able to kill the cancerous cells in their body.

Scientists are now researching new studies that could help with the big problem that is breast cancer. They hope to find something that will help lower the amount of people that have to be treated for Breast Cancer. Currently there are 2.5 million breast cancer survivors in the United States. These doctors are still using what they know will work such as clinical exams by medical professionals, self-breast exams, screening mammograms, and any women who has a family history of the disease can undergo genetic testing that can help to determine whether they are at risk of developing it. These are just some of the trusted ways of diagnosing whether a woman has breast cancer or not.

Now, a new research about the treatment of breast cancer has been developed. Many doctors have found that computers that are trained on historical data can be used to analyze current information and detect similar patterns between the two and then predict any possible future patterns. This means that these machines can help detect breast cancer in its more early stages by helping to analyze data from breast cancer screenings to recognize the presence of a tumor before it begins to grow and become deadly.

Even with all of the new studies and research developments, and old studies as well, there are still ways for women to take extra precautions and preventions that can reduce the risk of getting this disease. Women who are worried about being diagnosed or are diagnosed should limit dietary fat, greatly reduce their alcohol intake, and should restraint from exposure to pesticide and antibiotics. All of these things can help decrease the risk of Breast Cancer, and researchers still believe that with every passing day they are getting closer to finding a cure to this life-threatening disease.

With all of these advancements, both new and old, women have a greater chance of being able to tell their story so they can inspire other women to be just as strong. Breast Cancer can be a women’s worst nightmare, but if they surround themselves with things that give them courage and people that believe in them they will certainly have the motivation to power through this life-threatening illness.

  1. I thought that this article had a lot of good, but shocking information. I find it very interesting that there are 2.5 million breast cancer survivors in the world right now. I found that even men can get this horrible disease, even thought most cases are found in women. This article had a lot of prevention techniques to help ensure that you won’t develop this horrific disease. Some other ways could be going to mammograms very often or doing a clinical trial. In my opinion, people need to be more aware of this disease and work even harder to prevent it. Right now, many scientists and doctors are doing research to find cures.
